Ötödik Évszak’s (5th season’s) first recording has met the challenges:offering positive, playful, acoustic music-worldly interpretation lingering on the Budapest-Paris cultural axis. Alongside their knowledge of authentic folk music and presentation of Hungary’s folk music treasures, selected poems from Attila József, Ernő Szép, Sándor Csoóri and Victor Hugo make the recording complete. The dual language appears like color in their music speaking to and taming one and all, from the banks of the Seine all the way to Hungary’s meandering Tisza River!

The band played at 2020 WOMEX, their worldwide streamed concert was followed by tousands of world-music experts, festival organizers, journastists and broadcasters. They are regular guests at clubs and concert venues in Budapest.
