The young musicians on this album come from the Őrkő Gypsy settlement on the edge of the town of Sepsiszentgyörgy. They brought along a virtuoso dancing couple, Antal “Rémusz” Mocsel and his wife, Piroska.
The Gypsy community of Őrkő are all Roman Catholic and speak Hungarian. According to historic sources, a Gypsy presence in the town of Sepsiszentgyörgy can be traced back to the 16th century.
