The band plays traditional Gipsy music arrangements mixed with world music elements.
Their career started after the big Gipsy music renaissance of the 1990s. This year they are celebrating their tenth anniversary.
For this special occasion, they released their new album of ten tracks, with the participation of ten guest musicians.

Karaván Família is a real family band: István Nagy and Ica Farkas, and their children, Istán Nagy Jr and Niki Nagy are its members. Full of ideas and very individual - their traditional Gipsy music proves how colourful, open minded and lively Gipsy folk music really is.
Their new album contains covers of Hungarian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Transylvanian, Macedonian, Russian, Spanish, and Serbian Gipsy tunes, one Arabian folksong and their own songs. Among the guests are Veronika Harcsa, Kálmán Balogh, András Dés, Ferenc Kovács, Péter Bede, Csaba Novák – just to mention a few names.
