GÓBÉ: ÉLEM
This is the music of the future - a robust milestone!
“Élem” is Góbé Band’s first record with their new line-up of musicians. It was released first in digital formats and then on actual CD. Already active for 15 years, in 2020 Góbé added two new members: singer Várai Áron and double bass player Hegyi Zoltán. Along with the new members came new impetus, new songs, and now this new album. The album also features guests Szokolay Balázs Dongó and Busa Pista.
"The Hungarian outlaw theme is more present on this album than ever. Our problem now is: where do we go from here - but this is the music of the future. This record is the perfect snapshot of where we stand with our music and taste. I love every single part of it and can recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone, for any time of day." (Czupi Áron)
“This album is a robust milestone for me. It is a mix of truly diverse styles of music that are new to the band’s repertoire. The folk music that feeds and inspires the tunes and the folk song texts have donned a new jacket that radiates with great atmosphere and a sense of life. There is joy here, deception, insanity, history, sometimes blunt sincerity, and the seriousness of ballads." (Várai Áron)
