A four-member band plays on the recordings here. One of the first violinists is Lajos Lukács, he and his brother – the double-bass player – are from Magyarkirályfalva. The other first violinist István Didi and the viola player are from Ádámos. Although the two first violinists have almost the same repertoire, their playing style and variants of the melodies differ – so we also recorded them separately.
It is interesting to note that Lajos Lukács has only part of his first and second fingers, and this can be heard in his playing.
