Khamaro
The Khamoro Gipsy Folklore Dance Ensemble was formed in 2002 by the leadership of the dancers of the world known Kalyi Jag Ensemble. The principal objective for the formation of this ensemble is to introduce and teach the cleared, authentic Gipsy culture of Hungary.
The ensemble presents the Gipsy folklore music and dance traditions of Szabolcs Szatmár Bereg county (Northern Hungary) on stage. The repertoire of the ensemble is continuously expanding and also being colored by the Gipsy folklore music and dance traditions of the neighboring countries like Transylvania in Romania, "Upper Hungary" in Slovakia, Voyvodina in Serbia and the Balkans.
