Besides Hungarian Gipsy tunes, the band’s new repertoire features arrangements of Albanian, Bulgarian, Transylvanian, Macedonian, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, and Serbian Gipsy songs, an Arabic folk song, and several own compositions.

Primarily inspired by numerous distinctive European Gipsy styles, the songs also bear impressions of blues, jazz, fado, R&B, flamenco, funky, or Latin American music, all seamlessly melting together into a special and incomparable Gipsy world music.
Despite this musical diversity, Karavan Familia is able to keep up its characteristic style which is both innovative and traditional, entertaining and amiable at the same time.

These qualities eventually make asvin [teardrop] - their 10 years jubilee album - a family’s most intimate message about love, sorrows, tradition, and peace. The album was selected to the best 20 world music releases by European World Music Char t.
