Eszterlánc Ensemble
Eszterlánc plays traditional folk music mainly from the Transylvanian heath (the Mezőség region). Traditional singers and musicians from the region often perform with the band at concerts and on their recordings. In 2015, Eszterlánc put together a show highlighting songs from the village of Mezőkeszü/ Chesău .
Though the new show features music from Mezőkeszü, the band’s other concert programs include songs from Melegföldvár/ Feldioara , Búza, Magyarpalatka / Pălatca and Mezőveresegyháza/ Strugureni as well.
The reknowned jazz musician, Mihály Dresch, and flute and violin player Dénes Juhász, are also frequent guests of Eszterlánc and they both play on the band’s newest CD.
