Traditional music of Transylvania’s Vízmellék region. Arató Band recovers the world of melody and sound of the fiddlers of the Kis-Küküllő/Târnava Mică area.

Vizmellék is a sub-region in Transylvania which includes the village of Százcsávás/Ceuas, now well-known for its music and musicians with the nicknames "Dumnezeu", "Leves", "Cilika", "Csángáló", etc.

But, there were more musicians in the area!

On this record Arató Band presents the repertoire, playing style and melodic variations of other bands that once lived and played in the Vízmellék region.

Names of lead fiddlers in the region were: Káló "Cuppa" József of the village of Héderfája/ Idrifaia; Bolha Zoltán of Bonyha/Bahnea; Fagyula János "Gyurica" of Vámosgálfalva/ Gănești and Kozák József "Ţăr" of Ádámos/Adămuș.
For this recording Arató Band revives their music.
