Fonó is not only a great music venue - it is one of Hungary’s best brands!

Fonó Music Hall once again received the “MagyarBrands Award” in the category of “Outstanding Consumer Brand”.

The MagyarBrands program awards Hungarian businesses that perform well both nationally and internationally. Selection involves a complex process based on financial data as well as consumer and independent professional evaluation.

The Fonó first received this award in 2015 - and now also in 2018!

Going for over 23 years now, the Fonó functions as a space for concerts, dance houses and other cultural events; festival organizer: Budapest Folk Fest and the Seven Towers Festival. They have been named “WOMEX Top Label” for folk and world music in Hungary and the region. Fonó has also received Hungary’s “Prima Primissima” and Hungarian Heritage Awards.

Fonó’s director, Horváth László said: “The fact that Fonó’s dance houses regularly draw several hundred people proves there is a need for these activities. Staying alive in the world music market also means accepting new perspectives; artists we work with understand the ‘word of the times’.”

The HungarianBrands committee of professionals evaluates from three aspects: identity and the brand’s connection to the country, reputation/ recognition by consumers, evaluation of its marketing/branding program amongst Hungarian marketing practices.
So, an “Outstanding Consumer Brand” promotes Hungarian tradition, awareness and popularity.
