10 bands will play at the Fonó's Pre-WOMEX Hungarian Showcase

A jury of Hungarian music professionals has chosen the 10 bands (from 95 applicants) who will perform at the October 20th Pre-WOMEX Showcase of Hungarian Groups .

A combined effort of the Fonó, Hungarian Heritage House and Hangvető Music Distributors presents an overview of some of Hungary's best folk and world music groups - in a showcase event. The organisers wanted to give these Hungarian groups the opportunity to perform and build international contacts.

The concerts are open to the public!

The 10 bands performing at the Pre-WOMEX Hungarian Showcase:

• David Yengibarian Trio
• Dina Band
• Fonó Band
• Góbé
• HolddalaNap
• Kerekes Band
• Meszecsinka
• Parno Graszt
• Zombori Band

Outside of the official WOMEX international program, Hangvető WOMEX host this year, supports these Hungarian groups at the Fonó's Pre-WOMEX Hungarian Showcase - scheduled the day before the festival opens.
