Remembering Sándor Fodor “Neti”, the ”primate” of Méra, ten years following his death

Sándor Fodor ”Neti”, the legendary ”primate” from the Kalotaszeg region, was born in 1922 in a village called Gyalu (Kolozs county). In his adventurous life he performed in almost every part of the region. His music had accompanied the life of many from christening, through the wedding to the grave. Since the ’90s he had become a leading figure, a master and role model within the dance house movement. His uniquely rich, and one of a kind music had been recorded in many collections and on many discs. Nearing the end of his life, he became internationally famous with Hungarian ”revival” bands, and his own group.
