May 24-28, 2017 at Fonó and Várkert Bazár (in Budapest)

Budapest Folk Fest begin s again this year with a Wednesday evening dance house at the Fonó featuring traditional musicians and dancers from Transylvania.

Then Thursday through Sunday we’ll be at Várkert Bazár on the open air stage and terrace with concerts, wine tasting and folk pub.

We are excited to have Mahala Rai Banda and Nadara from Romania and one of Poland’s best-known bands Dikanda. Amongst Hungarian groups performing will be Esszencia, Lőrinc Barabás with Luca Kézdy, Buda Folk Band, Sena Dagadu and Gypo Circus.

Festival Passes for admission to all festival programs are available. All of Sunday’s programs at Várkert Bazár are Free!
