Attila Mihó Wins Lead Fiddlers’ Contest
20-year-old Attila Mihó, a regular musician at Fonó won Lead Fiddlers’ (Prímás) Contest in Kecskemét, Hungary, organized as a tribute to late lead fiddler Béla Halmos.
The prize was a 180-year-old master violin from the Sudetenland worth over € 3600. It was presented to the winner by deputy mayor Kornél Mák on behalf of the Town Council of Kecskemét. Overjoyed by his victory, Attila tried his gift all at once.

Kecskemét Folk Music Festival. Second place was taken up by Márton Radák, and the third by Gergely Dávid Hegedűs.
