May 18-22 we host a celebration of folk and world music in 3 venues

This year we’ve got Shantel & Bukovina Club Orchestar, Vlatko Stefanovski’s Macedonian trio, Muzsikás and Amadinda in a joint concert, Roby Lakatos and his band, and the Téka Ensemble celebrating 40 years. There’s also András Berecz, Romengo, Góbé, Eszterlánc and the best dance houses with Hungarian string bands, Moldavian and Gypsy music. During the day on the weekend there will be wine tasting and family programs at a new festival venue: the beautiful terrace of the Várkert Bazár in Budapest’s 1st district. The celebration begins with a Magyarpalatka gala event and the legendary band from the Transylvanian village of Magyarpalatka/Pălatca on Wednesday May 18th.
