The project aims to show the strength of the cooperation of V4 countries on a level of the special subculture of music: folk and world music. Its main objectives include: - to develop a professional relationship between the partners that could grow into future joint project proposals aimed at regional and cross-border challenges, - to give opportunities to V4 musicians to present their values to a wider audience, - to show the values of the partner countries and make room for new fusions nourished by folk roots (ethno-jazz and world music formations). Music is a universal language; it can foster connections between countries and peoples. Our partners are dedicated to ethnic diversity and cultural regions in their field of art. Therefore, by building a network, we want to give the Hungarian-Slovak-Polish artists and music lovers an opportunity to open up to new musical ideas with the help of excellent musicians-educators. Fonó, the lead partner of the project, has proved to be a renowned representative of these musical styles during his 25 years of existence. Since the project includes both folk music and world music events, people reluctant to listen to pure folk music could also be reached. Similarly, those who are less receptive to world music could also be addressed. We strongly believe that to get a better knowledge of our cultural roots is a way to a future of better understanding both at the national and regional level and that our cultural diversity is something we can rely on.

Košice

The main reason on the basis of which we perceive Klub milovníkov folkloru as an ideal partner for the prepared project is a common understanding and perception of the issue. The common approach is based on documenting, preserving and making available elements of traditional folk culture for its further processing. Through their activities, they create ideal conditions for innovation and a creative approach in the processing of traditional folk music within world music and related genres. The partner's many years of experiences are a prerequisite for the transparent and successful implementation of a project with great potential for the future, which at the same time creates space for exchanging skills and improving existing methods and tools. Our cooperation in the past: In 2002,it was participated in FONO Club on dance workshops, in project V4, where he was lectoring dances.
