Together: Sounds from Inner Mezőség Album Launch Concert - Guest: Magyarpalatkai Banda

This June, Sára Zolnai released her first album, Together - Sounds from Inner Mezőség, as a digital release. To mark the occasion, she will present the album live at Fonó.

As part of the project, the voice of the young folk singer enters into dialogue with the mature voice of Erzsébet Kádár Dezsőné, a traditional singer and keeper of the folk tradition from Mezőség, Transylvania. Their singing does not center on vocal virtuosity, but on listening to one another, the power of singing together and a natural approach to the songs.

The album features outstanding musicians including Martin Florin Codoba Jr., Kristóf Szakács and Szilárd Szabó, all authentic representatives of Transylvanian folk music traditions. Their authenticity stems in part from the fact that they all live and work in Transylvania, in a community where folk traditions are still an integral part of everyday life. They inherited part of their knowledge as a family legacy and learned the rest from elderly masters.

After the concert, everyone is invited to a dance house that will continue until dawn, featuring Magyarpalatkai Banda!
