Taraf de Akácfa & Béla Kása 'Vándorcigányok' (Wandering Roma) - slideshow and exhibition opening

Since 2014, Taraf de Akácfa has been bringing the driving energy of Romanian lăutărească, Transylvanian, and Balkan folk music to stages around the world. Formed by well-traveled street musicians, the band was united by a shared passion for music and has since become one of the iconic groups of downtown Budapest. Their songs are enriched with their own original arrangements, where tradition meets innovation. Their performances can get audiences dancing in no time.

Before the concert, photographer Béla Kása will present a slideshow from his collection titled 'Vándorcigányok' (Wandering Roma). These black-and-white and color analog photographs were taken in the 1970s and 80s in Transylvania, Moldavia, and Dobruja. An exhibition of his work will also open at Fonó Budai Zeneház on the same day.
