Huun Huur Tu Throat-Singing Workshop

Throat singing is the most ancient form of Tuvan vocal art. What makes this art unique is that a single singer can produce two, three or even more sounds simultaneously, creating a harmonically rich form of polyphony. Huun Huur Tu has mastered both the art of throat singing and the techniques for teaching it. The fundamental principle of their teaching is an individual approach to every student.

During the workshop, participants will study the techniques of traditional Tuvan throat singing, variations of different styles and substyles, as well as overtone singing.

For beginners, they will introduce the first steps of learning, along with further guidance for self-development. For those who have already mastered the technique of throat singing, they will demonstrate the steps needed to continue developing their skills.
