Chamber Thursday: Ballads for Male and Female Voices

Komp Kollektíva X Ádám Móser

Ballads for Male and Female Voices

The first joint production of the Lajos Soltis Theatre and Komp Kollektíva

What do Bob Dylan, a Csángó singer, a Scottish Highland freedom fighter and a Cossack horseman have in common? Ever since humans have been human, we have expressed our joy and pain through song. Whatever nation we may belong to, music shows us that our roots are the same.

The production takes the audience into the poetic and mysterious world of ballads. The songs and stories connect the heroes, voices and emotions of different cultures, showing that although they were born in different lands, the shared human experience and the power of music unite them.

The program features Moldavian, Mezőség, Scottish, Irish and Ukrainian folk ballads, as well as art ballads by János Arany and Bob Dylan.

Performed by:
Jázmin Takács-Nagy - vocals, zither, koboz
András Tóth - vocals
Ádám Móser - accordion
Álmos Tóth - double bass, backing vocals

Ticket price: HUF 2,500 in advance, HUF 3,000 on the day of the concert
