Balkan Dance Ensembles Night

A special Balkan atmosphere is coming to Fonó! This edition of the Friday Evening Dance House series becomes an international meeting place, bringing together the dance traditions, communities, and cultures of different countries for one unforgettable evening.

Even at Fonó, it is a rare occasion to welcome so many dance ensembles at once, each bringing the characteristic dances, rhythms, and atmosphere of their own region to the audience. The evening features Bulgarian, Serbian, and Greek dance ensembles representing different generations and regions. From energetic circle dances to distinctive local traditions, there will be a wide variety of dances to discover, with the uniquely Balkan spirit of community taking center stage throughout the evening.
