Árpád Bakos and Friends – Látod, Látod Album Release
Árpád Bakos and friends are coming to Fonó with a concert celebrating the release of their new album.
Their captivating performances bring together traditional musical traditions and a contemporary, improvisational sound. They play their authentic instruments in a way that preserves traditional performance practices while embracing the freedom of contemporary musical thinking. The ensemble creates a shared musical language and form in which each musician retains their own musical and intellectual heritage.
“I have always considered it important to search for new paths and possibilities in music. Finding a particular path makes it possible to embark on a journey that opens the gates to the distant past and helps us discover musical solutions and forms that have not actually disappeared, but have simply been buried beneath the heavy dust of time. I would like this music to be more than reproductive music. I want it to be living, vibrant music, reborn with a burning energy. This is contemporary folk music: rooted in the past, but alive in the present.”
