The **Serbian New Year Celebration** brings the vibrant heart of the Balkans to life, with music and rhythms courtesy of **Balkan Pop Up** and **Poklade**. Whether you’re here to dance or simply celebrate the new year with electrifying Balkan beats, the dance floor is ready for everyone!

Balkan Pop Up

A joyfully spontaneous ensemble born out of impromptu jam sessions. They craft atmospheric phenomena that appear and vanish like mirages, inspired by a whimsical selection of Balkan melodies. For them, diving into these tunes is a transformative experience. Their repertoire features Macedonian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Bosnian, and Romanian music.

Poklade

Poklade encapsulates the essence of the Balkans: the cicadas’ songs, the crash of breaking glass, and the fiery spirit of rakija. Their music brims with flavors, scents, and colors, embodying pain and a celebration of life—all infused with a primal energy that sweeps you away. Their name, “Poklade,” signifies transformation, and their performances truly embody this. The band was founded in 2010 in Mohács by students of legendary masters Versendi Kovács József, Tiszai György, and Peti Kovács István.
