Fidula Banda Concert and Dance House
...when the musician celebrates...
A musician plays differently when performing professionally and differently when playing for their own pleasure. This band was also born this way: over a wild boar stew, in a small kitchen, on a cold winter evening.
The "fidula" is the general name for bowed instruments of medieval Europe, and the violin family also originates from it. With our music, we evoke the intimate sound world of the once-popular string trios in the Carpathian Basin, which became unique through different playing techniques, melody shaping, varied tunings, and harmonization styles.
“The devil is in the details!”
Earlier this year, the band released its debut album, featuring traditional village folk music from Transylvania.
Members:
Tamás Dezsőházi – violin
Judit Kompár-Rőmer – viola
Barna Nagy – double bass
Tickets: in advance 1500 HUF, at the day of the concert 2000 HUF (which is valid for the the Moldavian, Bulgarian, and string dance houses too).
