Ekalya - Music and Dances of India
A colourful event a three-part show, each presenting different Indian art forms in a unique way. Promises an experience-filled journey into the world of Indian arts for all ages.
In the first part, we can hear a North Indian Raga, performed by Gulfam Sabri, a seven-generation tabla, vocal and harmonium artist, and dr. György Molnár sitar artist. György Molnár came to the sound of the sitar from the world of blues and rock, and since then he has been a devoted believer in the magic of Indian classical music.
In the second part, the focus will be on South Indian vocals, Carnatic music presented by Judit Abraham. She has been delving into the world of Indian music and dance since 2000, initially approaching it from the perspective of Hungarian folk music, then studying and researching the traditions in India. She shares with us special experiences that India's diverse cultural heritage has given her.
In the third part, we can see an exciting Indian-Rajasthan dance, presented by Judit.
