Dikh TV presents: Kanizsa Csillagai, Kale Lulugyi

Dikh TV's series introduces the emblematic figures of Hungarian Roma folk music.

Kanizsa Csillagai

The band was formed in 1993 by Oláh and Beás Roma youth from Nagykanizsa, with its members essentially being family members. They are among the rare bands that also preserve and introduce the world to the songs and dances of the Beás ethnic group from the culture of the Hungarian Roma community. The band has performed across Europe and Taiwan, and they have fulfilled numerous invitations within Hungary as well.

Kale Lulugyi

The band was formed in Oroszlány in 2015. Their love of music, its learning, and its transmission are a part of their family traditions passed down through generations. In the band, you can hear the music-making of multiple generations together. Their music is based on Roma and Hungarian folk songs, but they also enjoy adapting songs from other artists and collaborating with other bands.
