Helka Banda is ancient women’s energy, fierce outspokenness and musical fusion. Most of the members of this brand new band formed in 2021 have strong spiritual connections to and professional experience with authentic [Hungarian] folk music. This mixes with jazz and classical music foundations to create an especially fine, unique world of sound. Folk music arrangements and eclectic folk are typical: their songs are independent of place and time, and arise from archival material.
