Fonó Literatúra: contemporary meets tradition in theatre, music, dance
Upcoming events
Fonó Literatúra
In the Fonó’s literature and music series Hungarian folk poetry meets with the work of contemporary poets, well-known Hungarian actors and musicians. It is a dramatic reading that includes spontaneity. We will be amazed at how contemporary the old can be. We try in literary language to figure out how to live with our traditions in the 21st century. Can traditions be kept alive? We can think about how they will live on; how new rituals can be built upon the old; and how contemporary bodies of work can be inspired from the old.
It will be a man’s evening full of rhythmic yells, folk texts, jokes and male energy in a personal and unusual performance.
Like a good conductor, Seres Tamás brings the artists together to create a spontaneous performance - and that’s the beauty of the series.
