Conversation Guest: Lányi György, founder of the Téka Band

This launches the third year of club evenings at the Fonó hosted by FolkEmbassy Band and Rosonczy-Kovács Mihály. Through June 2022 these club evenings will be held on the last Wednesday of the month within the framework of the Fonó Wednesday series. This month’s guest for Revival Informants conversation will be Lányi György, founder of the Téka Band. Join us also for dance house following the conversation.

As the village musician, singing and dancing masters that inspired the dance house movement pass away, we turn to members of the first generations of the dance house movement for inspiration and conversation. Those first generations of the movement had first-hand experiences in the world of the village communities where the music, dance and song traditions came from. Their stories and experiences can inspire all of us. Amongst guests for club evening conversations so far, have been: Bognár Szilvia, Lakatos Mónika, Navratil Andrea, Csoóri Sándor, Éri Péter, Major Levente, Nagy Gábor, Szerényi Béla.
