If there is such a thing as infinite music – that is what you’ll hear at Lajkó’s concert. As a violinist he allows us to peek into his own personal, inner world. We find unmatched virtuosity, ordinary musical themes, unexpected whistling booming forth, serenade and eternally familiar melodies from somewhere… Lajkó Félix plays his violin as an unfinished experiment that will never be perfect, and never be completed.

As he puts it: “playing with a band means constraints, a good part of which is making the band sound together. When there is a theme we start playing and then at one point there is a big explosion. And then there’s the part that doesn’t work in a band, but works instead in solo, when there is complete improvisation and no one is around me. Both are good. Probably if one or the other were absent, that’s the one I’d miss.”
