EX AURO is a world jazz fusion project born of the meeting of Keck Mária and Tomaž Pačnik. They do interpretations of ethnic songs: Indian, Turkish, Arab, Sefardic, Roma, Peruvian, Argentinean and other songs - mixing dreamlike, intensive waves of jazz with the rhythms and fiery tension of flamenco.
After performing on stages in Spain, Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Hungary, they present their first recording with their guest: acclaimed Hungarian jazz percussionist Mogyoró Kornél.
Tomaž Pačnik
is also an active participant of the Slovenian ethno jazz project: Jazoo – well-known to Slovenian and international audiences, with whom he has made 5 records.
Keck Mária
built her artistic career while living for nine years in Spain. As a dancer and singer she worked with numerous traditional flamenco and fusion projects touring Europe, Japan and Argentina.
Mogyoró Kornél
is presently a member of Norweigan bass guitarist Per Mathisen’s band, Heavy Weather. He also plays with Tóth Evelin and Frankie Látó in Ewiva!. He is international endorser of Meinlcymbals, Roland and Audio-Technica.
Ex Auro
’s performance is a magical journey through an atmosphere drawing on all kinds of cultures: from Turkish Roma trance and Rajasthani Indian songs, all they way to the song of the Mexican crying ghost woman.
