Jü
Jü, formed in Spring of 2012, is now one of the most exciting jazz acts on the Hungarian music scene. Their name means ‘flow’ in Chinese. This word is also used to describe a man who has found the right way in life.
Their dynamic power-jazz is full of psychedelic tunes and improvisation from Budapest's best underground musicians: Andras Halmos (Pop Ivan, Chakra Hacker, Santa Diver, Kampec Dolores) on drums; Ernő Hock (Grencsó Kollektiva,The Qualitions, Dresch Quartet) on bass guitar; and Adam Meszaros (Erik Sumo Band, Péterfy Bori & Love Band) on guitars. Melding experimental jazz, psychedelic rock and free improvisation, the band performs at jazz festivals and rock venues. In various music collectives and as solo performers, the members of Jü have worked with internationally acclaimed musicians like: John Zorn, Mikolaj Trzaska, Eugene Chadbourne, Charles Gayle, Chris Potter, William Parker, Hamid Drake.
The band:
Andras Halmos - drums

Trio Bujdosó
Enchanting Mediterranean mood, Middle-Eastern trance, dreamy rumba, dramatic bursts – just a few words that describe Trio Bujdosó’s music. Their sound is difficult to label because it feeds on countless sources and its recipe is unique: essentially acoustic music with psychedelic seasoning, subtle effects and a film music flavor that emerges again and again. The sound might as well parallel the scrappy quality from the works of New York experimental artists John Zorn or Marc Ribot. The result is an unmistakable sound and unique new color on the world music scene.
Trio Bujdosó was formed in February 2011, its members have also worked with several important Hungarian jazz, world music and alterock bands: Egy Kiss Erzsi Zene, Kampec Dolores, Specko Jedno, Kistehén, Pop Ivan, Meszecsinka – to name a few.
Their first album entitled "Golf for Leslie” was released by Dalok.hu in December 2012 and featured works of founder János Bujdosó. One of the pieces – "Traveller’s Diet" - is accompanied by a clip.
Members:
János Bujdosó – guitars
Dániel Szerető – double bass
Ádám Klausz – drums, percussion
