For this occasion we gathered a bouquet of traditional, though unusual duos from every corner of Hungarian folk music. As opposed to the usual larger bands, we would like to present a more intimate and heartfelt side of Hungarian traditional music. In the old days it wasn’t always possible to hire a complete band. Smaller family celebrations or spontaneous gatherings provided the perfect opportunity for one or two instruments to accompany a singer or dancers. We would like to play some old tunes in this way.
