Lámpaláng formed as an acoustic trio in the spring of 2018. They define their own music as “poetrymusic”. The texts for their Hungarian language songs come from contemporary Hungarian poetry and thoughts of contemporary poets. While music based on poetry is often categorized as either literature or theatre, their poetry set to music has a special, gutsy flavor. Their music not only stands well in circles of literature loving folk, but holds its own on any pop music stage, and at pop festivals and events.

In the spring of 2019 they won the prize for the “best poetry set to music” at Hungary’s József Attila Poetry–Song Festival. They performed as guests at a Misztrál Ensemble Concert in Budapest last fall.

Their first recording “ Rejtettelek sokáig... ” was released in February 2020
