Budapest Mezőség Band is a dance house band drawing from several generations of revival musicians. The backbone of their repertoire is the music of Magyarpalatka/ Pălatca (Mezőség region, Transylvania). “The most important link to our folk music is that we play music for dancing. This is what we have done til now and what we shall continue to do, because if this is lost, we lose the roots of the tree, and everything we fell in love with, will fall apart.”
Members of the band:
Kovács Márton, Kalász Máté - violin
Fekete Antal 'Puma', Fekete Márton 'KisPuma' - kontra
Lelkes András – double bass
